We weren't able to test his thyroid, but I also don't think we had any success trying to figure out if he can see. Baby Corn looks so bewildered all the time and I've had questions on what he can see. It is hard to assess vision in a kitten who seems developmentally behind in so many ways. He is at least 4 weeks old, but his ear canals only just started to open up and very recently, he went from not responding to yelling back at me when I talk to him. Although we can tell that the eyes function as they should, whether they have connected to the brain cell or whether we need to find the brain cell first is still up in the air. #babycorncat #kitten #blackkitten #microkitten

Baby Corn is smaller than 3 week old kittens. You can also tell they're younger because they don't have the strength to hold up their whole body yet. While they're able to bulldoze him, he's been pretty effective at showing them his wrestling moves. Usually it doesn't make sense to pair 3 week olds with an 8 week old kitten, but given that Baby Corn has a tough time keeping up with his sisters, I thought it would be nice for him to have some friends who are closer to his size and are also unsteady on their feet.
