If you have pain due to inflammation ibuprofen might be the better option for you. The most common cause of pain below the neck is myofascial which can have inflammation. However if you have history of stomach ulcer, kidney disease, heart attack or stroke tylenol will be better to avoid further long term side effects from ibuprofen. Tylenol when taken over 4,000mg per day can potentially cause liver disease. If you have any questions regarding which medication will have more benefit than risk for you please discuss with your Doctor. 🫡

Always discuss your full history with your Anesthesiologist, including all medications you take so we can take the proper precautions. Ozempic can slow down gastric emptying; which can increase your risk of aspiration pneumonia when recieving anesthesia. Typically it is advised to stop at least 7 days prior to surgery but please dicsuss with your Doctor how many days prior to your surgery you should stop taking. 🫡
