I remember the days where I would cry because my abusive ex couldn’t take two seconds, ever, to just compliment me. I remember feeling so alone, so ugly in the vessel I’m stuck in, already despising it all to the highest degree and then being put down extra for how little I could do for myself and in my life. And then I broke the cycle. And I stopped settling. And the red string tied along to my husband got shorter and shorter til we finally met, when I needed him most. Now I get this, authentically, randomly, always. 🥹 I know it’s easy to settle, especially when being so chronically ill and just wanting to feel some sort of love, please remind yourself the wait is worth the love, that settling leaves you to feel ways you never should as a person- disabled or not. ❤️‍🩹

Did i utilize a clear ostomy bag for the second year in a row, just to risk five minutes worth of pretty pictures, by putting in battery operated lights through the bag…? Yes. Yes i did. And guess what? If i’m alive next year you can count on another, too. ✨✨✨ christmastomy!!!
