Dinner tonight took me around 45 minutes. Creamy garlic Alfredo sauce Ingredients, 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic 2 ½ cups heavy cream 1-2 cups pasta water 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder (McCormick Garlic Spice Blend – adjust to 2 tsp if you love a stronger garlic flavor) 1 teaspoon Kfred ( Cajun spice) 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Instructions: Melt the Butter: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until fully liquid and just starting to bubble. Sauté the Garlic: Add the heaping tablespoon of minced garlic to the butter and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant — but don’t let it brown. Add Cream, pasta water & Seasonings: Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring. Then, add salt, black pepper, garlic powder (or McCormick’s Garlic Spice Blend), and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine. Simmer: Let the mixture simmer (not boil) for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Add the Parmesan: Reduce heat to low and gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Taste & Adjust: Taste your sauce and adjust seasoning if needed — more cheese, spice blend, or pepper flakes if desired. Serve Immediately: Toss with freshly cooked pasta.
