The Abbey Yung Method Part 1- Routine Overview! This goal of this method is to make your scalp and hair both look and feel as healthy as possible. And what it takes to achieve that is different for everybody. That’s why I try to give as many product options in each category as possible! This is a really common misconception but it’s not one you need to worry about! Foam or bubbles aren’t always correlated with the cleansing power of a shampoo, but either way they’re totally safe for your scalp and hair. As long as your shampoo makes your scalp and hair feel good, that’s all that matters! #shampoo #shampooandconditioner #healthyhair
How it feels every time I have to address this comment… again 😭 I actually don’t even know how this myth started in the first place but this is my guess… and obviously I’m not against splurging because there are a lot of high end hair products I splurge on myself, but is it because drugstore is terrible? No 😑 The Abbey Yung Method is all about making it your own at whatever price point you want because you can find amazing options at all price points #drugstorehair #haircare #hairproducts

As someone who also used to be a bright bleached blondie I made all of these mistakes with stylers and then some…Hopefully this helps you as you regrow! (sia.letsgo on IG) 🩷 (also I completely understand that this isn’t realistic every single time you style your hair- these are just tips to incorporate when you can!) #dyson #damagedhair #hairgrowth
As promised… here is the difference between Dove Bond Strength & Dove Intensive Repair! I knew that Intensive Repair was supposed to be their most reparative set, but I wanted to get some more specifics directly from Dove on how *they* view the differences between these systems. Let me know what questions you have for which brands next & I’ll do my best to hunt down some answers! xx #shampoo #dove #drugstore
Nope… medicated shampoos aren’t just for dandruff! They get so much hate and they shouldn’t because they’re SO helpful for common scalp concerns! Medicated shampoos featured in this video that I recommend: @headandshoulders Classic Clean @CeraVe Anti-Dandruff @Nizoral Anti-Dandruff @Dove Beauty & Personal Care Dryness + Itch Relief @Neutrogena Medicated Extra Strength #shampoo #dandruff #scalptreatment #scalp
@😶🌫️ I hope this helps!! ❤️ I often see people say that you need to get regular trims every 2-3 months to make your hair grow but that’s not how the growth cycle works! Trims to remove splits are definitely important, but sometimes cutting off too much too often can be the reason why our hair isn’t growing as long as we want it to (if we’re not experiencing a lot of breakage of course… because that’s another huge culprit). Bond repair, a routine focused on strengthening and protecting our hair as it grows, and patience are key! Significant growth just takes time. #hairgrowth #hairgrowthtips #longhair
My haircare tips for @Lo Bosworth! Like I mentioned in the video, I didn’t want to list off every single one of my product rec’s because the list would be overwhelming but there are many others I love in addition to those listed here! I’ve said this for a long time but saw a stitch of one of my videos recently that reminded me that new viewers may have not heard me say this yet: You don’t need to worry about silicones or hair care products suffocating your hair. Your hair doesn’t need to breathe… it’s dead! #healthyhair #hairgrowth #HairCareTips
Let me caveat this by saying you know your hair best and this won’t work best for all hair types. First, the opposite is true for curly to coil hair- because the combing force is higher when brushing curly to coily hair dry hair, it’s better to brush when the hair is wet to reduce breakage. But even if you have straight to wavy hair, this may not work for you. When my hair was super bleach damaged it was SOOO tangly & using a blow dryer on those tangles would’ve been a nightmare to try to brush through after. So this is something I just recently realized I was actually able to do now- I didn’t used to. Also, sometimes it works better to brush through hair first to get more even distribution of styling products you’re applying, and that’s totally fine too! Do what works best for your hair (always), but if this does work for you, it’s a great way to reduce breakage! #hairhack #hairhacks #beautyhacks #hairbreakage
I absolutely LOVE hair oils and think they are a great way to get additional heat protection, but I’ve never been sold on them as my sole source of heat protection. In order to protect your hair from heat as best as possible, you want to make sure your heat protectant is applied to all of your hair strands evenly. But if I were to try to do that with an oil, my hair would start to feel too heavy, weighed down and greasy since I normally don’t apply more than a couple pumps for my entire head of hair when I’m using it post-wash! I also apply oils much lower on my hair than I do leave in sprays, so again I wouldn’t have even protection on the length of my strands. What works best for me is to use a spray heat protectant first, then use a couple pumps of oil as a finisher! #hairoil #hairoiling #hairtips
@JULIA one more stitch with tips for you because this is the most perfect visual everrrr to explain why hair growth oils are not always the solution for hair growth! Hope this helps too 🥰 #hairgrowth #hairgrowthtips #hairgrowthjourney
