My heart breaks for the immigrants who were allowed into this country by leadership that offered no real resources or support to help them stay legally. Many were given false hope and welcomed in, only to be abandoned by the very system that opened the door. This isn’t just a humanitarian crisis, it’s a leadership failure. We can’t allow our emotions to blind us from placing the blame where it belongs which is on the leaders who opened the door without a plan, not the ones trying to do their job and restore order. Mind you EVERY country has immigration laws!! When they aren’t followed, chaos and heartbreak are inevitable.
