Crab: 1 - Jay: 0 😤 We got a CRAB!🙌 This is a Caribbean crab and its the newest addition to the Zoo, and let’s just say… it’s got an ATTITUDE! 😳💥 This clawed critter is very sassy, and ready to rumble on sight😅 He’s got one bold personality, and just goes to show why you don’t mess with a crab! 😂

Just a Century Old Tortoise 😳🐢 It’s wild to think about 100 years of life 🤯 Most of us are not going to make it to 100 and that means we better take advantage of the time we have here‼️🙌 Remember time is the only thing you can never get back and no amount of money will very change that 😄

When you work with animals, stuff happens…. literally!😅 My friend was holding Frank our biggest monitor lizard and out of nowhere… 💩💥 Let’s just say he left a “big” impression on him and right before he had to go to the airport😭 You never know what’s coming when you're working with wild animals, and moments like these are all part of the job! 😂🦎 Still wouldn’t trade it for anything🙌

SNAKE LOSES AN EYE......Cap 😅 Snakes actually can’t close their eyes because they have no eye lids! 🤯 which means they never blink and sleep with their eyes open 👁️ Instead they have a special clear scale, on their eye that protects it 🙌Sometimes these eye scales get stuck and thats why I was helping this snake here 😊 glad I could help

Protective Momma Snake😳 Nothing comes between a mom and her babies😤❤️ Whether it’s humans, snakes, or lions, moms will go to any length to protect their little ones🙌 Those mother instincts ain’t no joke and honestly the only thing we can do is respect it🫡 She doesn’t care how strong or scary the predator is🤯 Make sure to thank your Mom’s for all the amazing work they do😁

Having fun with Gilly the Black Dragon🤩 We have had this guy since he was a little baby and have seen his personality blossom over the years🥰 He's definitely more on the chill side but he still has those strong hunter instincts whenever you put food in front of him😳 He's very smart and Asian water monitors are actually known to recognize their keepers and owners🤯

RATTLESNAKE ON THE LOOSE😳 🐍⚠️ This is one dangerous noodle you DO NOT want to mess with! 😳 That rattle is a clear warning to stay back—these venomous snakes mean business☠️ Always respect wildlife and give them space!👀

These Monitor Lizards always surprise me😮 They will stop at nothing to get their meal and are built for climbs like these🤩 They may look skinny but they have so much power in the small body of theirs😮 Those wild instincts always kick in fast😅 Here at the zoo, we let them work for their food to burn off that wild energy so they can chill out after a satisfying hunt💪❤️

JOLLY GREEN MEETS BABY GREEN❤️😝 I absolutely love Green Iguanas 🦎 they come from South America & did you know that green iguanas are expert climbers?🧗👀 They can easily scale trees and even fences! What’s even more interesting…. Did you know they have a third eye on top of their head?!🤯 This ‘parietal eye’ helps them detect predators from above! They also have a powerful tail they use for defense and can hold their breath underwater for up to 30 minutes. 😱🌊 If you live or ever visited florida then tell me, have you ever spotted one basking in the sun 🌞? Why do we open snake eggs early? 🐍💡 It’s all about giving these little ones the best shot at life! When we carefully cut snake eggs at the right time, we can help prevent babies from drowning in their own fluid or getting stuck inside. We know they’re ready when we see their umbilical cord is fully absorbed and they’re strong enough to breathe on their own. It’s a delicate process, but it can make all the difference in saving lives! 🙌🐣

Happy Easter! I've never fully understood what rabbits have to do with Easter, but this year I figured I'd post this Super Sunday Easter Bunny-who, against all odds, escaped being eaten by the snake. I guess in a way, that's what Easter is about: not getting tricked by the serpent.

DANGER NOODLE ALERT 🚨‼️Check out my beautiful Albino Western Diamondback Rattlesnake & he definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed 🛌💤Did you guys know that their rattle is actually made of keratin ?! Yep you read that right! Keratin is the protein that helps support human fingernails 😅 All Rattlesnakes are born with one button on their tail, and a new segment is added to the base of the rattle each time they shed their skin🐍 One of the biggest misconceptions about rattlesnakes is when they do rattle most people think of it as a threat but in reality you should think of it as a courtesy warning ⚠️ 🙌 In the wild , it is the snake’s way of telling would-be/ potential predators or large herbivores, to simply adjust their path of travel so that way they don’t get crushed and or stepped on👊🙌🐍

It’s all about trust with animals😁 I have raised Gilly since he was a little baby and although I could never say how he feels about me😅 I do know how to make him feel comfortable🙌 Most of the time animals just want to feel that they are safe and that means that they are planted somehow😁

Reptile Easter egg hunt 😳 Luckily I’m a professional and nobody would ever be in this situation this is a controlled removal of snake eggs. OK so it’s not that controlled but with years of experience things can still go wrong so you can always learn from a professional. if you’re wondering what I’m doing I’m removing the eggs to put them in a safe incubator so that we can exponentially give the eggs the their best chance of hatch we hope to a 95% hatch rate. Wish some one would have told this beautiful reticulated python mom we are on the same team 😂 the eggs will take about 84 days at 90 degrees to hatch 🐣 I hope you’re having a fun Easter weekend with your family and friends #snake #science #eastereggs

These guys look like Real life Pokemon🤩 Fennec foxes are the ultimate combo of cool and cute! 🦊🔥 With those giant ears and playful personalities these little foxes are truly one of a kind!😍 Apparently they love being petted and I am here for it🙌
